Over the course of over 20 years, more than two million patients have trusted our doctors to provide expert care for them and their families. Now our virtual care option can provide the same level of care our patients are accustomed to, but in the convenience of their own home or workplace.
The procedure involves remote video conversation between a patient and a healthcare professional. While the contact is enabled by technology, the medical assessment is performed by an experienced GP, perhaps your usual doctor in Bedfordview, or it could be a convenient means to consult one of our Intercare doctors in Pretoria and get expert medical advice without visiting our consulting rooms.
We assure our patients that this process does not change who they see, but rather when, where, and how they engage with them. Virtual assessments don’t replace face-to-face visits; they’re merely an alternative for those with pressing medical needs.

Intercare's Dental Virtual Consultations
As part of our ongoing mission to introduce innovative new products and services, we also offer virtual dental screenings. Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), these virtual consultations provide a means to determine the condition of a patient’s teeth and oral health prior to an appointment.
Dental care has never been as easy or convenient. First, patients use their smartphone to take photos of their teeth and upload them. Next, an experienced Intercare dentist evaluates these and compiles a digital oral health report. The report and treatment plan are then discussed with the patient via a video call.
Should urgent dental care be required, an appointment will be scheduled for treatment. Virtual dental screenings are currently offered at select facilities.
