Dr Konrad Bekker graduated (MB,ChB) from the University of Stellenbosch in 2007 and obtained the Travel Medicine certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014. He is registered as a general practitioner in the Republic of Ireland and worked as a GP in Dublin and Cork. In South Africa, he is a Panel Physician for the United Kingdom – one of only three in the country. Dr Bekker is passionate about family medicine, paediatrics, and mental health. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is also a sports enthusiast.

Dr John Nieuwoudt graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1984 and has been in private practice since 1987 in the Western Cape. Dr Nieuwoudt appreciates outdoor life, spending time with his family, and is a keen road runner for almost 40 years.

She holds a master’s degree in diabetes from the University of South Wales (UK) and has completed numerous other courses, including Advanced Life Support. She has extensive experience as a flight doctor and worked in several trauma units and diabetes clinics. Dr Coetzee has a particular interest in diabetes, obesity, emergency medicine, and chronic illness care. She enjoys reading in her free time.

Dr Anil Ramjee

Dr Ramjee finished a Bachelor of Science and medical degree at Wits University in 1993. After graduating he worked at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg for 2 years before pursuing a career in Family Medicine. He relocated to Cape Town and has been in private practice since 1998. He also held a part-time lecturer post at the University of Cape Town Family Medicine Division for many years. In 2005 he obtained a Family Medicine Diploma cum laude from Stellenbosch University. In 2018 he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetes with distinction from the University of South Wales. Dr Ramjee is also a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians (South Africa). In 2016 he joined the Intercare group practice in Cape Town where he works as a Family Physician. Dr Ramjee also serves on the Intercare Clinical Advisory Committee.
