Dr Marie Coetzee

Dr Coetzee obtained the MBChB degree at the University of Pretoria and the Dip PEC(SA) at the Colleges of Medicine SA. She holds a master’s degree in diabetes from the University of South Wales (UK) and has completed numerous other courses, including Advanced Life Support. She has extensive experience as a flight doctor and worked in several trauma units and diabetes clinics. Dr Coetzee has a particular interest in diabetes, obesity, emergency medicine, and chronic illness care. She enjoys reading in her free time.

Dr Gert H Swart qualified at the University of Pretoria and subsequently obtained a master’s degree in Family Medicine (M. Prax. Med.) and a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacology (M. Pharm. Med.). Dr Ntsako Maphali qualified from the University of Pretoria in 2011. He is passionate about family medicine and has a particular interest in urological and surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and reading.

Dr Anil Ramjee

Dr Ramjee finished a Bachelor of Science and medical degree at Wits University in 1993. After graduating he worked at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg for 2 years before pursuing a career in Family Medicine. He relocated to Cape Town and has been in private practice since 1998. He also held a part-time lecturer post at the University of Cape Town Family Medicine Division for many years. In 2005 he obtained a Family Medicine Diploma cum laude from Stellenbosch University. In 2018 he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetes with distinction from the University of South Wales. Dr Ramjee is also a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians (South Africa). In 2016 he joined the Intercare group practice in Cape Town where he works as a Family Physician. Dr Ramjee also serves on the Intercare Clinical Advisory Committee.

Dr Philip Rossouw

Dr Philip Rossouw obtained the MB ChB degree at the University of Pretoria and started family practice in Pretoria in 1984. He has a diverse knowledge as a healthcare professional obtained by working in group practices and with specialists performing spinal, endoscopic, vascular, orthopaedic, and bariatric surgery. In addition, he has experience in trauma medicine, intensive care, and occupational health care. He enjoys family practice for all age groups.

She completed a Foundation Course in the care of type 2 diabetes from the Centre of Diabetes and Endocrinology and is particularly interested in this field. Dr de Wit also completed courses in aesthetic medicine and offers Botox™ treatments. She enjoys performing minor in-room surgical procedures, including excision of small skin lesions and cysts.

Dr Jacques Lightfoot qualified as a dentist from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2000, where he won several best student awards and the prize for the most distinguished student of the year. He practiced as a dentist in the United Kingdom for eight years. During this time, he was attached to the department of orthodontics at a local hospital and provided treatment at a local conscious sedation referral practice. He continually develops his skills as a clinician and has a particular interest in orthodontics, oral implantology, and -surgery. Dr Lightfoot strives to treat each patient with care and respect to achieve results that fulfill their needs and expectations. He enjoys farming and spending time outdoors with his family.

Dr Sheron Forgus

Dr Sheron Forgus qualified from the University of Cape Town in 2003. She worked for an NGO and then proceeded to work at the Gent University in Belgium in vaccine research for two years. Returning to South Africa, she completed her master's in Family Medicine at the University of Stellenbosch and qualified Cum Laude in 2014. She is a member of the College of Family Physicians of South Africa. Dr Forgus is passionate about children's health, emergency care, and palliative care. She also thrives on facilitating and mentoring and is an external lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch.
